    THE SMILE MAKEOVER PROCESS

Transform your smile with a smile makeover. Cosmetic dentistry is not just about aesthetics! It is also about the health of your teeth and gums and ultimately it is about restoring your smile and your self-confidence.

    CONSULTATION & EXAMINATION

The first stage of the smile makeover involves sitting down with the cosmetic dentist for a consultation. During the consultation, an X-ray or photos may be taken so that the dentist can have a greater understanding of your specific requirements and treatment expectations. A physical examination will be needed to look for areas of concern or deterioration and to prepare a detailed treatment plan and comprehensive costing schedule.

Next, a professional scale and polish is performed before impressions are taken of your teeth for a ‘wax up’ model of your existing teeth.

    TREATMENT PLAN

At your return visit, your dentist will sit with you and present your wax mock up. This model is a representation of what your smile could look like. A wonderful opportunity to see what is possible and discuss any modifications or changes you would like made. You may opt for Digital Smile Design which allows you to see the proposed teeth, in your mouth, as if you have completed treatment.

You will be given a treatment proposal and all details of your proposed treatment will be discussed in full with the treatment coordinator. Your treatment plan is unique. It is tailored to your specific cosmetic and functional needs. The treatment may be a simple case of teeth whitening or something more involved such as placing dental implants, requiring multiple visits.

    COSMETIC TREATMENT OPTIONS

    GUM CONTOURING

    – Lasers with pin-point accuracy can even out and re-contour soft tissue (gum) quickly and with minimal discomfort.

    CERAMIC VENEERS

    – Veneers are a great alternative to crowns as they cover only the front surface of the tooth.

    DENTAL IMPLANTS

    – If you have missing teeth you may require a single implant or an implant supported bridge.

    INVISALIGN

    – Crooked smiles can be re-aligned using removable clear plastic aligners.

    TEETH WHITENING

    – Zoom Is the latest teeth whitening technology around. It is safe to use and highly effective. You can see results within one visit if completed in office or over consecutive days if done at home.

    ALL CERAMIC CROWNS AND BRIDGE

    – Ceramic crowns are used in cases requiring both restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Crowns cover the entire tooth rather than just the front like veneers. A crown is used to reshape and protect deteriorating teeth for a healthier smile.

    FINAL STEP: SMILE WITH CONFIDENCE

At your final visit your provisional temporary teeth will be removed, and your final crowns/ veneers or bridges will be fitted. Your bite will be checked and final photo’s will be taken. Typically, patients are seen 2 weeks later to re-check the bite, make any adjustments to ensure all is comfortable and polish the teeth.

  • Denture Implants

    Denture Implants

Our doctor perform a unique dental implant solution called the All-on-4 or All-on-X Treatment Concept, also known as Teeth-in-an-Hour. The All-on-4 Treatment Concept offers patients in need of a full-arch replacement a faster procedure and healing time. In this procedure, four (or possibly more) implants are placed in the patient’s upper or lower jaw to secure a complete denture.

    THE ALL-ON-4 TECHNIQUE BENEFITS

Convenience. The new replacement teeth can be attached to the four-implant base in the same appointment, allowing patients to avoid the delay that accompanies many other tooth replacement procedures. Patients can start enjoying the benefits of their new arch of teeth right away.

Increased Functionality. The All-on-4 dentures technique allows the denture to be attached to the implants with screws, ensuring that the replacement teeth are secure and supported.

WHY CHOOSE ALL-ON-4 for DENTURES IMPLANTS?

When you have lost the majority of your teeth, finding a cost-effective, affordable tooth replacement option that restores both function and aesthetics to your mouth can be difficult. Options such as removable dentures or multiple implants are very expensive and can involve a time-consuming restoration and healing process.

Fortunately, patients of Oral Surgery Specialists of Atlanta have an alternative option to mitigate these problems — the All-on-4 Treatment Concept.

The entire surgical procedure can often be completed in just one visit and allows patients to solve both their functional and aesthetic problems much more quickly. Your general dentist or prosthodontist will perform the denture fabrication portion of the procedure.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR ALL-ON-4 IMPLANTS?

Many patients who are unable to receive traditional replacement options, such as a fixed bridge, are still able to receive this unique treatment. If you are on the verge of losing or have already lost an entire arch of teeth, or wear a prosthesis such as dentures, you may be a candidate for All-on-4.

If you think you may be a candidate for this procedure or want to learn more information about it, we encourage you to call and schedule an initial free consultation with our office located in Gran
